A Catholic-Christian: To Be or Not to Be; That is the Question!
Life seems full of such choices which seem to put us “on the line,” as we say. To enter into the program known as RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is not a light decision. It involves time, energy, and emotional commitment. The RCIA is for adults who have:
- Never been Baptized;
- Have been Baptized in another Christian community;
- Have been Baptized but need to receive the Sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation;
- Catholic-Christians who have “been away” and would like to reconnect.
It usually takes a few initial sessions to “feel at home” in the program, so don’t be afraid to “taste and see” whether you’ll benefit from the RCIA program here at
Kindergarten -8th grade: RCIA for Children for the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist & Confirmation)
8th Grade Confirmation Class:
Monday – 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (TWO [2] years of preparation required)
This Sacrament is celebrated with Holy Name School students.
Registration: August 16, 2009 – September 19, 2009 for grades K- 8
After Mass: Saturdays – 5:30 PM and Sundays – 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM
Pastoral Center/Office: Mondays-Fridays 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Classes begin on Saturday, September 19, 2009 – 10:00 AM
Registration Fee: $40.00 per student; $20.00 each for additional children in the same family
Additional fees for Confirmation and First Communion: $50.00 per student.
